Summer has officially begun, and the next big event on our little island is the Denman ART Studio Tour taking place on August 17 & 18 from 10am to 4pm. Our 14 artists are hard at work and here is a short preview of what your eyes will be delighted with! Shirley Phillips - Lilac Sun Pottery Shirley Phillips will be showcasing her latest creations at Lilac Sun Pottery. Of her whimsical work, Shirley says: “I am delighted by all of nature’s seasonal cycles. I see the opening of blossoms, rain on rocks, the unfurling of leaves, waves on the ocean… I am always inspired.” Shirley creates unique, organic shaped, textured pottery pieces that are then fired in a wood, smoke or electric kiln. Sudasi Gardner - Gallerie Deya Sudasi Gardner's unique artistic style is showcased at Gallerie Deya, where her bright and vivid paintings in oil and watercolor, tapestry and rug weaving, hand-spun local wool, and pottery are on display.
